Coffee Roasting Timer stores account information and roast data so users can save, sync, and review coffee roasting history.
Information We Collect
We collect account details such as email address, optional name, sign-in provider, optional roaster type, saved roast logs, temperature entries, event markers, bean inventory, presets, roast notes, ratings, preferences, device/browser basics, and product analytics events.
Sign-In Providers
If you choose Google sign-in or Apple sign-in, we receive the information needed to authenticate your account, such as provider account identifiers and verified email address when the provider makes it available. Apple may provide a private relay email address if you choose Hide My Email.
How We Use Information
We use information to authenticate users, provide subscription-gated app access, save roast history, sync data across devices, operate bean inventory and presets, improve reliability, detect abuse, and understand feature usage.
Subscriptions
iOS subscription purchases are processed by Apple. We use StoreKit entitlement status to determine whether the app should unlock paid access. Apple may provide subscription-related identifiers, transaction data, and status information needed to operate the subscription.
Third Parties
The app uses service providers for hosting, database operation, authentication, Apple App Store billing, Google sign-in when selected, Apple sign-in when selected, and analytics. These providers process data only as needed to provide those services.
Data Retention
Account and roast data are kept while your account remains active. Product analytics and server event data may be retained for a limited operational period, currently up to 90 days where automated retention is configured. Backups and security logs may remain for a short additional period before normal rotation.
Your Controls
You can delete individual roasts from history. You can delete your account from the Account page. Account deletion removes saved roasts, bean inventory, presets, preferences, and account records from the app database. If you have an active Apple subscription, cancel it separately in Apple subscription settings.
Children
Coffee Roasting Timer is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We use HTTPS, authentication cookies, and access controls to protect account data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so use a strong password and keep your device secure.
